About the book

Nāda Brahma: The Eternal Rhythm of Sound and Silence is a wide-ranging philosophical exploration of sound, consciousness, creation and inner practice. It begins with Lord Vishnu in Yoga Nidra, the silent state in which the whole of creation rests as pure possibility. From that silence arises the primordial vibration; the lotus emerges from Vishnu’s navel, Brahma awakens, Om is expressed, and the five elements unfold into the visible universe.

In this work, Devrishi interprets the traditional imagery of Vishnu, Lakshmi, Kshirsagar, Ananta Shesha, the navel-lotus, Brahma and Om through a contemporary dialogue with cosmology, hydrogen, oxygen, water, vibration, frequency and cosmic rhythm. Science is not used here to prove spiritual symbolism, but to offer a modern language through which ancient ideas may be examined with clarity and intellectual discipline.

The book then turns from the universe to the human being. The same principle of vibration that appears in creation is traced within the breath, heartbeat, voice, mantra, musical tone and nervous system. From the four levels of speech—Para, Pashyanti, Madhyama and Vaikhari—to struck and unstruck sound, Pranava practice, Soham, Ajapa Japa, inner listening and Nada Yoga, the book presents sacred sound as both a philosophical principle and a living discipline.

It also examines how sound influences the body and mind, how mantra and rhythm can affect breathing, attention and emotional states, and how sound healing may be understood without exaggerated or unscientific claims. Rather than presenting sound as a miraculous cure, the book explores its possible role in relaxation, emotional regulation, mental balance, contemplative awareness and the gradual refinement of consciousness.

The final movement of the book leads into Dhyana. The practitioner moves from the physical body to the breath, from breath to inner space, from inner space to inner sound, and from sound into stillness. In this way, the outward movement of creation is reversed through practice: what emerged as vibration from Vishnu’s silence returns, through Nada Yoga, to the silence from which it arose.

Nāda Brahma brings together spirituality, philosophy, cosmology, music, sound healing and contemplative practice within a single vision. It is written for readers who wish not merely to hear sound, but to understand how vibration may connect the universe, the body, the mind and the deepest states of inner stillness.

Creation emerges as sound from Vishnu’s silence, and spiritual practice is the journey by which sound returns to silence.
